Reposition protruding ears is the most common form of ear surgery. It is widely done with a high rate of safety and patient satisfaction.
The procces
- Even slight variations in the normal anatomy of the ear can significantly affect the appearance. The most common structures involved include three formations of cartilage: hélico lobular complex, antihélico crease and inner ear shell.
- The correction of protruding ears uses surgical techniques to create or increase the fold antihélico and to reduce excess cartilage of the shell. Nonremovable internal sutures are used to create and ensure the new cartilage molded in place. Points outside the incision closed.
- Ear surgery offers almost immediate results in cases of protruding ears, after the bandages and casts supports are removed. With the ear permanently positioned closer to the head, the scars are either hidden behind the ear or hidden in the natural folds of the ear.
